| Sythril's been up since February, they've promised so many servers and have never followed through.
And paying three thousand dollars just for the dodian database? No, no, that's just sad.
I can't believe Neos wants to do it.
If anything, we've at least made a start. | |

If anything, we've at least made a start. One is was something that if I did get it would be from donations, but I changed my mind because I don't want to waste everyone's money on a db even tho it could make me 3-5k per month probably once you get a the users back. I don't see how its sad when its business and you can't see why I would like to buy a database that made Dodian over 50k USD? We may have been up without a server but look whos been up longer without needing a server... How many remakes has this guy made and took down? I could have put a server up had you play and waste your time playing it just for you guys to get your skills reset. So the plan is to just make a remake or rebuild dodian because we have the real source that only Dodian and Danno have besides my self. My guess is we should have a very good chance at doing well we have a huge advantage from what I see we have the following * Dodian skills, from the Exorth base * The real Dodian 3.0 just in the Exorth forum * The power of Dodian.com and support from them as well * Danno! K well he as not said he would help or join but I would guess he would help us code some things (he has for sythrils source/client) Danno coded a lot for Dodian 3.0 so he should know what hes doing. * The modcp? Right now I'm going to work on getting the modcp that exorth/Dodian used. (most servers don't even have one let alone a remake) * we are the Dodian community? Most of us played 3.0 and when you compare are numbers of uses to other dodian remake sites we come ahead without even having a server! Just get an Dodian admin to send out a email to every user that has man an account about the server going back online at sythril and I'm sure that would be enough to bring a lot of the dodian users back.

| Tbh, paying over thousands of dollars for just a virtual game database.. oh ye they will make money off it but, what happens after jagex shuts them down too?
Waste of over thousands of dollars (if they sue money off sythril) or no? | |

Waste of over thousands of dollars (if they sue money off sythril) or no? easy off-shore hosting also Jagex can do nothing to you if you don't have a webclient, the only copyright they have is with the client and nothing with the server, you think the 8 months we have been online we have not checked into everything we can do to make sure we can stay online? just because something is virtual does not mean its worthless, look at all the stuff that cost money that people pay for and they can't even hold in there hands, Windows OS cost money for the full thing of windows 7 its like $260 or something like that. People buy games that are $60 that they will get bored with in time, also buy movies to only watch a few times. Google bought youtube for $2billion, Google also makes aorund 20 billion a year in ads. virtual does not change anything.

just a webserver, no need for a VPS to run a site unless we get much bigger like 200 users online at a time (the website not game) Be fun to see what remake turns out better best of luck. | |
